Erasmus Trip to Malaga for Adult Learners Easter 2026
- Details
During their time in Málaga, the students worked in a variety of office-based placements, including hotels, hostels, cultural centres, and organisations that support student exchanges. These placements enabled them to develop new skills, gain practical work experience, and learn more about different professional sectors.
Alongside their work commitments, the students had the opportunity to experience the vibrant celebrations of Holy Week, immersing themselves in the atmosphere of Málaga’s parades and long-standing local traditions.
They visited many of the city’s most famous landmarks, including Málaga Cathedral, the Alcazaba, and Gibralfaro Castle. They explored the mountain town of Ronda, renowned for its rich history and stunning views. They also travelled to Nerja to visit the Balcony of Europe and wandered through the picturesque village of Frigiliana. A full-day excursion to Córdoba was also included, with entrance to the unique cathedral–mosque. Throughout their stay, the group sampled local cuisine, including tapas and locally sourced foods, which further enhanced their cultural experience.
Overall, this Erasmus+ mobility experience supported students’ personal and professional development. Living and working in another country helped them gain a deeper understanding of cultural differences, build tolerance and respect for new cultures, and develop confidence in an international setting. From hands-on work placements to meaningful cultural engagement, the trip broadened their worldviews and created lasting memories that will stay with them for years to come.
