Our U14 Girls became Connacht B Champions on Monday 25th with a hard fought win over Mercy, Tuam. The match was played in dry, sunny conditions in Glenamaddy and the girls made the home advantage and support pay as they raced to a 5 point lead at half time. The girls were playing with great spirit and determination and they worked hard to keep on top of their opponents. The win was built on a strong defensive display, only coughing up three scores, albeit three goals. Congratulations to all the Panel and their coaches, Mr. Conway and Mr. Delaney

Girls U-14 battle to secure a place in the Connacht Final.

The Glenamaddy girls had an exciting game against St Marys Ballina to secure a place in the Connacht Final. A goal in the last minute by Shauna Mee let  G.C.S. level the score, which led to extra time.

G.C.S. were trailing by 1 point with two minutes to go, but a determined Glenamaddy side secured a 2 point lead with a goal from Elaine Nee, followed quickly by a point from Chloe Costello. It was a well-deserved win for G.C.S.

The Connacht Final is to be played in Glenamaddy. The date has yet to be confirmed.
