We would like to congratulate John Croghan who won the All Ireland Schools Playwright Competition on May 2nd. His One Act Play entitled 'Yearning' was chosen out of over 100 entries. We also commend Katie Brady on coming fourth overall in the same competition. A fantastic week for drama in the school!

Last years Transition Years raise €780 for Pieta House by making a CD "Light of life" with song written by Sarah Davis and music by Niamh O'Flanagan. It also contains an instrumental piece composed by Anne Smith. This year the Darkness into Light walk/run will be starting from GCS on Saturday morning, 6th of May at 4.15am. Set the alarm clocks and bring as many as you can!!
