On Thursday 23rd January Glenamaddy CS held one of the first rounds of the ACCS Senior Debating Competition. The motion for debate was ‘This house would lower the voting age to 16’. Our opponents on the day were Ballyhaunis CS. We were lucky to progress to the next round of the competition, which will take place after midterm break. The motion for Round 2 is ‘This house would increase the tax on meat to help combat climate change’. We are very proud of our Senior Debating Team and look forward to our next day out.
