All 1st and 2nd year students are invited to participate in the Teamhope Shoebox appeal. We will be giving out leaflets in 1st & 2nd year R.E classes over the coming week. There will some extra leaflets left in the school office so that students from other year groups are also encouraged to contribute. Looking forward to a great response again this year!! Thanks in advance to all the parents/ guardians for their ongoing support and generosity.

Since Junior Cycle Reform commenced in 2014, new subject specifications are being introduced in all schools in Ireland on a phased basis. Current Third Years are studying English, Science and Business Studies under the new system, while Second Years are also following the specifications in Irish, modern languages and Art. In addition First Years are following the new system for Maths, Home Economics, History, Music and Geography.

Congratulations to this years Transition Year students who had their Graduation Cermony on Monday 28th. During the cermony Patrick Coneran and Kate McGann were awarded the students of the year awards.

The Graduation Mass for the Leaving Cert Class 2018 was held in the Sports-hall on Thurs 24th. On a wonderful sunny evening a great crowd of parents, family, friends, staff and students attended the ceremony. The mass was celebrated by Fr. Mooney with a few words from Principal, Mr. Duignan, Year-head, Ms. O'Neill and Valedictorian, David Madden. Congratulations to all the students and we wish you well with the Leaving Cert exams and your lives after your journey in G.C.S. Please click here to view all the photos from the evening.

Transition Year Classes 2016-2018 from Glenamaddy C.S. recently made a donation to The Sunshine Class in Creggs N.S.  They completed various fundraising activities throughout the two years. In the photos are Cathal Moran, Kate McGann, John Croghan, Eimear Collins, John Duignan along with their Enterprise teacher Margaret Griffin making the presentation to the students, Principal Gerard Dowd and staff of Creggs N.S.
