Last Thursday evening saw the Graduation Mass for this years Leaving Cert class being held in the Sports Hall at GCS. Students, Parents, Staff and friends were in attendance as Fr. Mooney celebrated the Mass. We wish all the students well in their exams in the coming weeks and hope that they go on to fulfill their dreams when they leave our school. Our annual Student Awards cermony was held in the Sports Hall on Wednesday 22nd. Mr. Francis and Mr. Kennedy were MC's as the awards were presented for attendance, academic success and extra curricular success among others. Our Student of the Year was Leah Pettit with Joe Kelly recieving Collegian of the year and Lucy Collins getting Academic of the year. Above is a photo of €900 presentation from GCS to Tuam Cancer care. Money was raised from our 5Km Walk/Run held on March 1st. Well done to everyone involved and for all the donations and support.
