On Friday, November 14th 2025, Aaron Reid, as part of Seanad na nÓg, attended the Seanad, with 60 delegates from all over the country. Eight delegates were chosen to speak on peace and security, climate action, education and youth, the cost of living, equality, technological restrictions, and the prohibition of drug use. They met with senators, Mark Daly, Maria Byrne and Minister for Children, Disability and Equality, Norma Foley, and had a wonderful day. Well done Aaron!

Well done to all our participants in the annual 'Science Week Bake Off'. There were some great creations on display which made the competition even more interesting. We are already looking forward to next year's competition.

Our TY's worked in conjunction with the local Tidy Towns Committee picking up litter in our local area under the supervision of Ms. Boyle.

Congratulations to Shay Collins and Evan Fahey, who took part in the Poetry Aloud Competition on 21st November in the National Library of Ireland, Dublin. They are now through to the final on December 12th.

The TY class wish to thank all of those who donated a shoebox to the Teamhope annual appeal. In total 62 shoeboxes were collected and sent to children affected by poverty. Well done to everyone who donated a shoebox. Also in the picture is Ms. M. Griffin & Ms. C. Doherty with some 1st year students. The class with the most shoeboxes donated were 6C and 2C. They each received a hamper of goodies to share.

Our Leaving Cert year group recently had a trip to see Macbeth in the Dean Crowe theatre in Athlone.

On September 11th, Joe Cunnane came to speak to interested Leaving Certificate students, about UCAS and studying in Coleraine.

This year we celebrated Mole Day in style! The Physics/Chemistry class joined us, along with a special guest appearance from none other than Mr. Declan Kennedy!(x15)
