Congratulations to our Junior Boys team on winning the Connacht C Football title today. This is a great achievement for the school in a grade that has been starved of success for too many years. The team beat neighbours Castlerea in a wet Centre of Excellence in Ballyhaunis. Well done to all the panel and their trainers Mr. Frain and Mr. Curtin. Match report and pictures to follow.

Here is Sharon's story, Sharon is a PLC student in Glenamaddy Community School, and has just launched her new website "Sharon's Cancer Whirlwind". She's unbelievably brave. She has already had 60,000 hits world wide. This week she was interviewed on TV3's, Ireland AM program. Over the past few weeks a group of the transition year students have been working with the service users in St Francis's in Kilkerrin. They completed this art project which was a spring themed notice board. All the service users got to do their own hand print and helped stick up the different parts of the notice board.

Well done to our Juvenile Boys team who won their first round Championship match today, Friday 29th. Final score was Glenamaddy CS 2-15 Gortnor Abbey 0-05. Best of luck in the next round.
Also played today in Glenamaddy GAA pitch was the Junior A Girls Connacht Final. With a dramatic finish the sides finished level and the match will be replayed. Hard luck to the girls and we hope you finish the job off the next day. FInal score in this was Glenamaddy CS 3-11 Mercy, Roscommon 5-5.

Well done to our Senior girls team on winning the Connacht A final recently. The final score was Glenamaddy CS 0-08 Mercy, Tuam 1-4. It continues the success of our girls teams in recent years and we wish them well in their All Ireland Semi Final. Click here for full match report.

On 11th of December our second years visited Leinster House as part of their CSPE studies on democracy. Deputy Michael Fitzmaurice was kind enough to organise the visit and show us around.

Congratulations to the TY class of 2015, who recently received their EHOA Primary Certificate in Food Hygiene Awards. As part of the programme, students had to complete an online exam and all twenty five students that took the exam obtained distinctions.
