Congratulations to leaving cert student Michaela Gillooly who recently competed in the Scifest National Final in Marino Institute of Education, Dublin on the 29th of November. Her project titled 'Own your cycle, own your game' won the TUS Athlone Regional final in May 2024. Since that, a lot of research was gathered to prepare for the National Final. Michaela won the Scifest Outreach Award for the most votes received on her submission video. This is a great achievement and we are all very proud of Michaela.

On Wednesday, December 11th, Ms. Conroy organised a volleyball tournament for the Second Years. It was a lovely event.
Thanks to Ms. Conroy and to the LCA1 students who helped organise and ref the event.

Ms. Griffin along with Ms. O’Rourke and the student committee wish to thank everyone who sent in a shoe box for the Team Hope Christmas Appeal. Our shoe boxes were collected this week by volunteers from Team Hope. Every single shoe box makes a HUGE difference to the child who receives it that is affected by poverty in countries across Africa and Eastern Europe.  The Christmas Shoe Box Appeal delivers your gifts straight into the hands of children affected by poverty. Well done to everyone who got involved.
